🌙A Los Angeles based Chinese Director, writer with a MFA in Directing from American Film Institute and an BA in Visual Arts, Media from UC San Diego. Her shorts have been shortlisted in various international festival such as VAEFF, SFC | Rendez-vous Industry, etc. She has freelanced in directing short films, mini series, commercials and TV productions internationally.
Her works mix experimental and narrative storytelling and often focus on women's social issues through a combination of surrealism and realism. She currently teaches directing remotely.
苏姝月是一位来自中国兰州的编剧/导演，本科毕业于加州大学圣地亚哥分校，从师于法国新浪潮女性导演Babette Mangolte。研究生毕业于美国电影学院导演系，从师于美剧《犯罪心理》导演Rob Spera等深入学习。她曾导演并参与多项短片，短剧，广告以及大型电视剧《塞上风云记》制作，她的短片曾入围Video Art and Experimental以及2024年戛纳短片角等多类国际电影节。
她专注于创作指导女性故事，善于混合实验与叙事性，并且多通过结合超现实与写实的手法表达关注女性社会问题。目前从事于电影教育行业。
